Prof. Pinhas Shifman, the president of the College of Law and Business, was formerly a law professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has been a visiting professor at New York University, the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and the University of Miami. Prof. Shifman’s vast body of research and writings involves matters relating to Family and Inheritance Law, Jewish Law and Interreligious Law. His books and articles have been cited many times in Supreme Court rulings and have had a great impact on shaping the court rulings in many different fields, inter alia, with regard to civil marriage. His latest book, One Language and Several Speeches, deals with the relationships between society, law, rules and morality.
